First of Four at Leeds Royal Armouries
The Classic Lifts team has completed the first modernisation of four lifts at the prestigious Royal Armouries in Leeds.
The modernisation project includes machine overhauls, replacement controllers and door operator upgrades.
In an active building with the public at every turn, the team had to ensure safe working. This has been no issue for Willy Elliker, as an experienced Repair and Modernisation Engineer he is well versed in working in such environments where public safety is paramount.
Working alongside him is Apprentice Jay Mason who has been working alongside Willy for two years and learning from the best!
The scenic glass lift shafts have brought with them their problems but nothing our expert duo couldn’t easily overcome.
All the team are excited to be back on site recently to start the second lift.
