135 Bishopgate is Go

Classic Lifts London was invited to tender for the lift maintenance contract at 135 Bishopsgate, a key site in the heart of the City.

Following evaluation we were delighted to be told we had been successful and the contract would start on 1st July 2022.

The site comprises of a group of eight passenger traction lifts with hall call destination controls, a goods lift, two firemans lifts, a cycle lift, platform lift and loading bay scissor lift.

Part of the tender was to also replace the platform lift and modernise the goods lift as well as some stabilisation works, SAFed Supplementary examinations and provision of critical spares. Also within the scope of works we will be installing the Modusystem monitoring hardware and software to all passenger lifts and goods lift which will enhance the service delivery and reduce lift downtime by providing essential data on lift performance.

Our service call out engineer, Charlie Ashby, will be the regular engineer supported by our service technicians and Service Manager and he is looking forward to the challenge of working on this high end equipment.

Charlie said “My aim is to ensure the lifts are as reliable as they can be and the service delivery is the best I can provide, I’m excited about this new contract and will try and forge a strong relationship with the Technical Services Manager and site team, bring it on!”
