Classic Lifts recognises the skills of ex-military personnel; and has benefitted from their skills and expertise for many years. Ian Bell – in our Northeast Office; is a perfect example. He may have been born in the Northeast; but he was definitely made in the Army – in this case.
After joining up at age 20, Ian served for 22 years before returning to Heburn to settle down with his family. As an Avionic Technician, he maintained Lynx, Gazelle and Apache helicopters; serving in various parts of the UK, Northern Ireland, Belize – and even three tours of Afghanistan.
Ian joined Classic Lifts in March 2021 as an Adult-Trainee Lift Installation Engineer; and completed his NVQ3 in just over a year. He now enjoys time with his family and his garden; and has even convinced his son to leave the Merchant Navy for a career here with us at Classic Lifts!
Thank you Ian – we appreciate all of your hard work!
