As Classic Lifts Ltd celebrates 30 years in business in 2020 and 10 years since the acquisition by the current management, the company is making changes in its Senior Management team.
As of 1st March, Keith Snow, current Managing Director, has become C.E.O of the company and Adrian Crane has taken on the role of M.D.
The changes come following a decade of growth for the business. Since acquisition in 2010, Classic Lifts has grown from one branch into a large independent lift company providing the complete range of lift related services across the U.K.
Headline statistics include;
- 175 directly employed people.
- 6500 units under a service contract.
- Approximately 200 lifts installed or major modernisations completed per year.
- An annual turnover of over £20m.
- National coverage from five branches located in Durham, Sheffield, Haydock, Hinckley, and London
Commenting on the changes, Keith said:
“When I reached the age of 70, I decided it was time to make Adrian Crane M.D. to allow the introduction of new and fresh ideas.
“We have progressed this plan seamlessly for two years, though I hasten to add I have no intention of retiring completely and will support Adrian in any way I can.
“Adrian and I have worked together for almost 20 years, as have many other colleagues in the Classic Team, and we all embrace the Classic Culture.
“Securing the services of talented and committed people who also embrace this culture has always formed a fundamental part of our growth strategy, and this will continue.”
Stepping into his new role, Adrian Crane said:
“A lot of Classic Lifts’ success can be attributed to the loyalty and professional approach of our employees.
“I’ve seen this first hand over the years and to be appointed as Managing Director is a big responsibility but also a privilege as it allows me to continue to work with very knowledgeable, dedicated and a growing team of people.
“These people share the vision of sustainable growth, excellent customer service and high-quality products to suit the needs of our growing customer base.
“Keith’s continued support will be invaluable for my plans as I look forward to leading the evolution of Classic Lifts for the next generation and strengthen its position as a preferred supplier and a preferred employer”.
