David Baker – has joined Classic Lifts as a support Technician. David started as an apprentice at 17 with Yorkshire Lifts Services and has since worked for Brittanic Lifts, Gregson and Bell, Delta Lifts and Express Lift Alliance in addition to 8 years as a self employed support Technician. He also spent 18 months installing manless fully automated storage systems in Germany to broaden his engineering knowledge. David enjoys mountain biking and cooking when being a father to Billie his 13 year old (going on 33) daughter allows. As well as being an experienced Lift Technician David has also passed the City and Guilds 16th Edition electrical wiring course.
Ray Bealey – Has joined Classic as New Equipment Manager. Ray started in the lift industry some 40 years ago through the Otis apprenticeship scheme. On successful completion of his apprenticeship he worked as a service engineer in Cardiff until 1983 when he relocated to Cheshire to move into sales as a Service Sales Manager.
Ray moved into New Lift sales in 1994 and was later made an Account Executive responsible for major projects. He was able to build many excellent relationships before being promoted to Regional Sales Manger in 2000 with responsibility for the Midlands, North and Scotland. He expected to be back in Cardiff within 2 years and he is still in Cheshire 30 years later. Ray has one grown up daughter and tries to keep fit by attending the gym and taking long walks.
